Some of the most perplexing and complicated human resource problems facing law firm administrators are also those that tend to recur.  This webinar will deal with five of the most problematic issues: Wage and Hour Compliance; Internships; Contract Lawyers; Impaired Lawyers and Staff and Hostile Work Atmosphere (Aren't all law firms "hostile" workplaces?).

 Objectives: 

  • Determine how the most recurring five management problems arise in law firms
  • Identify the laws and regulations which impact these five problems
  • Develop strategies for managing problems designed to prevent legal problems arising from these five issues

CLM Recertification Credit: 1 hour in the subject area of Human Resources Management

CLM App Credit for Functional Specialists: 1 hour in the subject area of Human Resources Management (HR) towards the additional hours required of some Functional Specialists to fulfill the CLM application.

This program has been approved for 1 (HR (General)) recertification credit hour toward PHR, SPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

 

The Association of Legal Administrators is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. This program has been approved for 1 PDC.

Mark J. Neuberger is of counsel and a litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He is a member of the firm’s labor & employment and private equity & venture capital practices as well as the health care industry team. He also serves on Foley’s national Pro Bono Legal Services Committee. Neuberger is a frequent speaker and trainer on various labor and employment-related topics. Prior to becoming an attorney in 1987, he worked for 10 years in the Human Resource department of a Fortune 100 corporation.
