Create Safety Preparedness and Protocols During and After Office Hours

The City of Miami Police Department aims to enhance preparedness through a ”whole community” approach by providing a training program on issues such as workplace violence, active shooter awareness, and incident response.

Objectives:

  • How to identify pre-incident indicators and characteristics of active shooters
  • How to successfully respond to an active threat
  • Learn skills and abilities to combat personal threats

This session counts for 1 hr of CLM recertification credit and may count as 1 hour for Functional Specialists applying for the exam as long as the subject area is outside their area of specialty.
